Developing Chinese [3rd Edition] is a systematic adult Chinese textbook embodying the "developmental" teaching philosophy and adopting a language teaching and textbook development model that combines comprehensive language proficiency development with specialized language skills training. The textbook is divided into three levels and six series: beginner, intermediate, and advanced, and six series: comprehensive, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and elementary reading and writing. There are 28 volumes in the series.

About the Author
Li Quan is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of International Cultural Exchange, Renmin University of China. He is also a member of the National Steering Committee for Postgraduate Education in Chinese International Education, Vice President of the Beijing Linguistics Society, Executive Director of the World Chinese Teaching Association, and an editorial board member of various journals such as "World Chinese Teaching" and "Language and Character Application".
