中国社会科学院语言研究所词典编辑室是一个专业性辞书编纂机构，原名中国科学院语言研究所词典编辑室,成立于1956年,是根据国务院提出编写《现代汉语词典》的任务而创建的。在吕叔湘先生、丁声树先生等语言学大家的带领下，编出了具有里程碑意义的《现代汉语词典》。
