This is the revised edition of Meeting China. Elementary Comprehensive Chinese is suitable for beginners with some previous knowledge who have either already worked on the previous volume "Basic Comprehensive Chinese" or who, alternatively, have already mastered a vocabulary of about 200-300 Chinese words or have completed a general Chinese language course of about 40-60 lesson hours.

This is a general Chinese language course with 12 lessons and annotations in English. The lesson texts in this volume are accompanied by Hanyu Pinyin. However, at this stage of progression, Hanyu Pinyin no longer appears parallel to the lesson texts, but rather separately behind them. The exercises are also no longer accompanied by Hanyu Pinyin.
