Effortless Chinese Grammar is a relatively concise grammar outline for foreign students and Chinese teachers alike and helps learners have a general and basic understanding of Chinese grammar. The book is in simplified Chinese only, we recommend it for learners having reached intermediate level (knowledge of about 2500 Chinese words). There is a divison into six chapters: the grammar characteristics of modern Chinese (现代汉语语法的特点), word classification (词的分类), the sentence elements (句子成分), sentences types (句类), special sentence patterns (特殊句式) and compound sentences 复句. Also, there are 4 appendixes included in this book: common separable words (常用离合词), common measure words (常用量词), common adverbs and classification (常用副词及分类), common prepositions and classification table (常用介词及分类表).

Short-Term Reading Chinese is a series of textbooks written according to the characteristics of students of short-term training courses. Focusing on improving the students’ ability in reading and comprehending Chinese texts and paragraphs, it combines intensive reading with fast reading and integrates some typical questions in HSK reading tests into the exercises. The selected texts cover a wide range of genres and styles and encompass a great number of topics and hot issues concerning all aspects of modern China so as to familiarize the students with the cultural background knowledge relevant to language learning. The series includes five volumes, namely Threshold, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Advanced.
