New Contemporary Chinese

New Contemporary Chinese is a textbook series for adult learners of the Chinese language. Vol. 1 is tailored for beginners of the Chinese language. This textbook series aims to develop the abilities of listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing of the language. New Contemporary Chinese follows the Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education (GF0025-2021) while keeping up with the development trends in Chinese society. New Contemporary Chinese has been adapted from Contemporary Chinese which has been widely used for decades. It provides restuctered contents and teaching procedures for an easier approach for both students and teachers. Including more specific learning objectves, updated topics, more exercises, class activities, and negotiated interaction in and out class, encouraging active and reflexive learning.
